About the Company

M. F. Kustoms is a small business founded in 2022 that engineers custom plug and play adapters and provides refurbishing and repair services. This started in 2002 from a desire to create a solution that would allow for the installation of aftermarket systems without modifying the car’s factory wiring. 

About the Owners

Danny Kimbler has been working on cars since the age of 13. His natural curiosity and affinity for engineering helped him learn everything from building engines and transmissions to tackling complete custom restorations. 

After getting into racing at the local drag strip, he wanted to run an aftermarket ECU to better compete with his friends. When the problem could not be solved with existing products on the market, he created his own. He built his first custom adapter that allowed him to run the FAST EFI standalone management system while keeping his car’s factory wiring intact. That first prototype led to the MFAdapters that we sell today.

Erica Unterreiner grew up in a small town with entrepreneurial parents and loved working in her mom’s print shop doing anything from odd jobs to tearing down the press to developing pictures in the darkroom. She enjoys creative pursuits, learning, and quality time with family. When she’s not working her day job, she’s helping Danny with the business as well as taking orders from The Shop Boss. 

Cyrus (The Shop Boss and favorite pet) specializes in mischievous antics and counter surfing. He’s always looking for ways to fill his tummy and dreams of being named Chief Snack Officer one day.
